Vehicle Valuation API
Early access: an API that will estimate a car's market value from its VIN and photos, for lenders, leasing companies and insurers.
The valuation API is in development and opening to pilot partners first. Tell us about your loan volume and the market you lend in, and we will shape the first version around it. Pricing is agreed per engagement.
VIN decoding to the exact build: make, model, year, trim, body and engine.
Condition grade and visible damage read from the photographs.
A value range priced against the market you lend in.
How the valuation will work
- You will send the VIN and a set of photographs of the car. The VIN will be decoded to the exact build โ make, model, year, trim, body and engine โ so the car is valued as the version it is, not as an average of its model.
- The photographs will be read by the same damage detection that scores auction lots today, to grade the visible condition and list the damage a valuation has to account for.
- The decoded build and its condition will be priced against current listings in the market the lender operates in, and the result returned as a value range with the factors that moved it, through an asynchronous API like the damage API.
What a valuation will contain
- An estimated market value as a range rather than a single figure, so a credit policy can lend against the lower bound.
- A condition grade from the photographs, with the visible damage that lowered the value listed part by part.
- The decoded vehicle the value applies to, so the estimate can be checked against the documents the borrower presents.
- Machine-readable output for an underwriting workflow: a request in, a result by callback, no manual step in between.
Who it is for
Lenders issuing loans secured by a car, leasing companies and insurers that need a defensible first estimate of a vehicle's value at the moment of application, without sending an appraiser to every car.
It will not be a certified appraisal, and it does not replace an on-site inspection where a regulator or a credit policy requires one. What the photographs do not show cannot reach the estimate.
Tell us what volume, sources, and workflow you need.
Share your auction sources, report volume, API needs, or website goals. We will route the request and follow up with the right next step.
Does Partsify inspect hidden structural damage?
No. A remote report cannot replace a physical teardown, and Partsify does not claim to detect hidden structural, frame or mechanical damage. It reads the auction photos for visible damage, then names the likely replacement parts with OEM numbers and current supplier prices, estimates labor hours, and totals the repair before you bid.
