How the platform works
- Paste a Copart or IAAI lot URL. The platform reads the listing's own vehicle data — VIN, year, make, body type, engine type — together with the auction photographs, and asks you to confirm the lot it matched before anything is generated.
- Machine vision classifies each visible panel from those photographs as damaged or as needing a physical look, and marks the detected areas on a vehicle diagram. Nothing is inferred from the VIN decode alone; the classification comes from the pictures the auction published.
- Every damaged part is resolved to the manufacturer's own OEM number, priced against a current supplier offer, and given labor hours from the manufacturer's factory repair times at your account's configured hourly rate.
What a finished report contains
- A parts table carrying the OEM number, the damage classification, the current supplier price in US dollars and the labor cost for each row, with parts and labor totalled separately.
- The auction photographs with the detected damage areas marked on a vehicle diagram, plus a written summary of the vehicle's condition.
- A window sticker rebuilt from the VIN: factory equipment, driver assistance features, and EPA fuel economy figures where they are published for that vehicle.
- An NHTSA recall block listing the open safety campaigns for that VIN, each of which a franchise dealer remedies free of charge.
Who it fits
Dealer and importer teams who have to quote on a salvage lot before anyone can physically inspect it, and who lose hours re-explaining a spreadsheet estimate to every buyer. The report is written to be sent to the customer, not translated for them first.
It is the wrong tool if what you need is a certified pre-purchase inspection. Damage detection reads auction photographs; it does not open the car, and structural or mechanical damage the pictures do not show will not appear in the report.

Does Partsify inspect hidden structural damage?
No. A remote report cannot replace a physical teardown, and Partsify does not claim to detect hidden structural, frame or mechanical damage. It reads the auction photos for visible damage, then names the likely replacement parts with OEM numbers and current supplier prices, estimates labor hours, and totals the repair before you bid.
